Lancôme wanted to revamp their e-commerce website to streamline the user experience, increase online sales, and appeal to the younger millennial demographic.

MLE recommended creating a seamless relationship and transition between content and commerce by positioning products via editorial and user generated content. 

Additional recommendations included incorporating animated imagery to bring the site to life with interactive video content, and user generated content to leverage images of customers using products.

Guided selling was identified as an opportunity to recommend specific products for upsell and cross selling. Specifically, on the fragrance category listing page, as fragrance is very difficult to convey and sell online, MLE recommended incorporating 3 keywords under each product listing to describe the fragrance scents.

MLE also identified opportunities to simplify the multi-step checkout process in order to decrease abandoned carts and increase conversion rates.
